Seems like those of us who believe in our 2nd amendment and just enjoy shooting as a sport are getting frustrated finding supplies. Trust me they are out there. Here Gunpowder_by_FX_1988is a link to a new powder we are going to try. We mainly reload pistol and some rifle. This powder has the same burn properties as red dot but more dense. Other than paying for handling at $27.50 its a really good deal at $97.50 for 8lbs. Some other brands are almost as cheap but all out of stock.

Check it out – Alliant Promo Powder 8 Pounds

Don’t forget to goto gunbot.net
for you shooting and reloading supplies.

This is an interesting move, if this goes well it could make a very interesting statement. If it goes bad it could make all legal gun owners look bad, b/c of a select few. Let’s be smart about this guys & girls, be safe.

See what you think, what is your opinion on this?

Here is what the Facebook Fan Page Says

  • Washington, District of Columbia
  • On the morning of July 4, 2013, Independence Day, we will muster at the National Cemetery & at noon we will step off to march across the Memorial Bridge, down Independence Avenue, around the Capitol, the Supreme Court, & the White House, then peacefully return to Virginia across the Memorial Bridge. This is an act of civil disobedience, not a permitted event. We will march with rifles loaded & slung across our backs to put the government on notice that we will not be intimidated & cower in submission to tyranny. We are marching to mark the high water mark of government & to turn the tide. This will be a non-violent event, unless the government chooses to make it violent. Should we meet physical resistance, we will peacefully turn back, having shown that free people are not welcome in Washington, & returning with the resolve that the politicians, bureaucrats, & enforcers of the federal government will not be welcome in the land of the free. There’s a remote chance that there will be violence as there has been from government before, and I think it should be clear that if anyone involved in this event is approached respectfully by agents of the state, they will submit to arrest without resisting. We are truly saying in the SUBTLEST way possible that we would rather die on our feet than live on our knees. You are welcome to attend unarmed as a supporter, or armed with a recording device. We especially invite law enforcement officers to stand with us armed however they feel is appropriate.

If this page gets to 10,000 attendees by June 1st, & we have the critical mass necessary to pull this off, (1,000 actual attendees) we will march. Please spread the word, share this event, & invite all your friends.

I am not sure what I think about this exactly. I watched the whole Oversight of the Federal Government’s Procurement of Ammunition Part I and DHS was questioned, but I wonder if this has something to do with the Committee asking them to cut back on their ammo supplies, and get some credibility.  See if you watched the several hour hearing you would notice that DHS has had an ammo quality issue in the past, so this made them purchase some additional ammunition to have on hand incase they had another problem. So the congressional committee requested that they check into not stockpiling ammo and this would have caused DHS to goto manufactures and ask in advance how quickly they could fill an order since they wouldn’t be stocking as much. It also sounds like they can not let ammo run low if there is a quality control problem, then if they are holding out for 6 months for the next order that could be bad.

I think the biggest question is , is DHS buying too much ammo to remove ammo from the market for the average gun owner? Think about this you cannot buy 22lr, DHS doesn’t use that caliber. Is it possible we the people are buying along with DHS and everything is in high demand. Remember this all started in 2008, and I think we all know what caused that.

Watch the first of several videos on the House Oversight committee questioning DHS. Very Interesting. I’m not sticking up for them but I am just playing devils advocate here. I just wonder if the hearing caused this news article to appear. DHS also claimed that they had never procured 1.6 billion in the first place. Don’t get me wrong this is real fishy, and I am positive they haven’t been truthful.

Oversight of the Federal Government’s Procurement of Ammunition Part I

The Department of Homeland Security has released a market survey asking companies if they are able to provide 2 million rounds of ammunition within a short time period, increasing concerns that the federal agency is continuing its arms build up in preparation for domestic unrest.

46,455 Background Checks For Gun Purchases Each Day Under Obama- Wow, how you like that for a Poll. No funny worded questions to a few hundred people.  I bet the Gun Grabbers have a hard time skewing these numbers. Guess when you look at the hard facts from the FBI background checks, it sure doesn’t look like 90% of americans are in favor of  more gun control, unless you use the liberal math. Check out the article below to see what I’m talking about.

WAIT – Now that I think about it the number could be so high bc all the women took Joe Biden’s advice and bought double barrel shotguns for home protection.

This guy just doesn’t get it. Piers Morgan go home, don’t flood our media with your crap. Guns ,pressure cookers and any other objects cannot hurt anyone unless someone takes control of it or builds it. The problem is the crazy people that get them and want to bring harm to others. Listen to our TN Senator he know what he is talking about, as do many others. It’s sad if you don’t want to go home b/c maybe no one wants you there either.

Sheeple: People unable to think for themselves

“We’re talking about an inanimate object that does nothing by itself,” said Campfield comparing a firearm to a pressure cooker. “It does absolutely nothing by itself just like a pressure cooker does absolutely nothing by itself.”

I just hope enough states do pass the same laws to help pressure the Federal Gov to back off on New Federal Gun Laws. Even if it is not legal it would be a huge statement.

Sheeple: People unable to think for themselves

The Missouri state House of Representatives has passed a bill that would make federal enforcement of new federal gun control laws unenforceable.

The bill reads, “federal official must not enforce a federal firearm law when the firearm is manufactured and remains in the state and that any new federal law banning or restricting ownership of a semi-automatic firearm is unenforceable.”

The measure passed the House with a vote of 117-43.

Huffington Post reported the following quotes from state Democrats in Missouri on the passage:

“This is Missouri’s answer to mass shootings and gun violence around the country, just keep blaming the government,” state Rep. Stacey Newman (D-St. Louis) told HuffPost. “They want to make it easier to have a gun. It makes Missouri look so backwards by saying this is our answer. It says our guns mean more to us than saving lives.”One Missouri Democrat said this bill is an…

Sheeple: People unable to think for themselves

The White House is using a Social Media service which is scheduling a massive Twitter/Facebook campaign.

The campaign is designed to trigger automated messages on the pages of people who sign up at a designated time.

Here is the URL for the campaign (DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO):

They are going to “Twitter-bomb” Twitter and create a strong presence on Facebook.

What we are proposing (hat tip: Reddit) is to take over their proposed hashtag.

If you are on Twitter use the hashtag #NowIsTheTime on all of your Tweets. This is the hashtag they will be using.

If you’re reading this site you can use the Tweet button at the top of the post to share any story on Twitter with the #NowIsTheTime hashtag prepopulated.

Utah-CFPYesterday on 3/30/2013 I attend a class to obtain a Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit for Utah. The class was put on at a local gunshop called Buckshot Sporting Goods. The class was taught by Paul Slavin of utahconcealedcarryacademy.com. You can also find them on facebook at facebook.com/SafeShooting. I cannot say enough about this group of people who put this on. Paul Slavin is a very skilled and knowledgeable instructor. I will explain to you alittle about this class and the content.

The class was setup in a small conf room at a local motel. There were scheduled to be 17 people to attend the class. When you arrived the rep from Buckshot checked you in and collected the balance owed for the class. Then you were asked to step over to a area to get your picture taken. After that you were seated and everyone had a manila envelope for each person at your table. Then contained all the paperwork needed for the class including a quiz, Utah Applications, and a finger print form. There was also an outline of the class so you could take notes and some gun diagrams for the class to be used as reference material.

When Paul started the class he explained about all the paperwork you had received in your packet and what material you were responsable for filling out. There are things you could do (like not using black ink) that could get the applications delayed or not processed at all. Then he talked about what Blue Guns were and how he would be using them in training. If you want to see a what a blue gun is go here – blueguns.com I never realized that the training guns were so exact to almost every model of gun. Weird thing is for some reason my Taurus PT 709 is one I cannot find that bluegun makes at this time. The blue guns make it possible to train with maxim safety in the class or at home. As Paul pointed out drawing your weapon from your holstered position is one of the most dangerous things you can do during personal training. Having a good safe way to practice is the best way to go , so no one gets hurt, not a bad idea if you got your own bluegun or other training gun.

When the content/curriculum was delivered to the class it was following the Utah Mandatory Minimum Training Curriculum that can be found on the Utah.gov public safety Website.

BASIC HANDGUN SAFETY TRAINING

HANDGUN PARTS AND OPERATION (Revolver and Semi-automatic)

AMMUNITION

FUNDAMENTALS OF SHOOTING A HANDGUN “DEMONSTRATE

SAFE HANDLING

UTAH CRIMINAL AND TRAFFIC CODE

Again for a complete list of all the content goto Mandatory Minimum Training link.

The class lasted about 4 1/2 hours with time for breaks. When you leave the class all you had to do it make a copy of your Indiana Gun Permit and your Drivers License. Then you get a certified check for $51 and mail it the address already on the Manila envelope. Pretty simple. I forgot to mention the cost for the class per person was $80 plus the $51 application and processing fee. Paul said Utah has had a turn around of about 2 months.

Again this was a great experience, and I am glad my wife and I did this. Makes me want to see about taking more of Pauls Training.
